Highly recommended

We visited Daylesford for a couple of days; there are a lot of restaurants to choose from in the town. A work colleague of our daughter recommended the Farmers Arms and we are pleased we took his advice. There is an excellent range of beers and of wines by the glass. The menu is short but eclectic - we chose the pie of the day (peppered steak) which came with chips and salad. The portions were generous (to say the least). We shared a dessert, which was also good, and enjoyed a glass of late harvest Viognier with it.

  • Tend to stay away from Daylesford as it gets so busy but I had visitors from the UK so took them for a visit. They liked the look of the Farmers Arms it reminded them of pubs in northern UK villages. They were thrilled with the place the menu excited them and the pot pie was a hit. All the meals were generous and very nice. I ordered 2 starters and could have gone with one. I am going to meet friends there for lunch very soon. We were there on a Wednesday so not so busy but I would imagine it gets busy on the weekends.
