Commenced art practice 1999, began exhibiting 2002. First solo exhibition in 2005 followed by a further eight solo shows, in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. Over 40 paintings selected as Finalist works in national Art Prize competitions.
Three prizes awarded - First Prize in the Black Swan Prize for Heritage (2016); Popular Choice Award in the Albany Art Prize (2016); and the Popular Choice Award in the Sunshine Coast Art Prize, (2017). Works encompass urban and rural landscapes as well as portraits and the occasional still life. A recent series of Landscape paintings depicted the Australian bush in State Parks near Ballarat, including Wombat State Park, Mt Buangor & Mt Cole Forests, and Langhi Ghiran Conservation Reserve.
These works were exhibited at Metro Gallery, High Street, Armadale in 2016 and will be shown again in early 2019 in an exhibition “Buangor” at the Bourke Gallery, Trinity College, The University of Melbourne. Seven works are currently on exhibition in, “Marvellous Melbourne - It’s Art and Soul”, which is showing simultaneously in two venues : Pan Pacific Hotel, South Wharf and Media House Gallery, 655 Collins Street, from October 8 through January 31, 2019.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
RICHARD KLOESTER
Studied Industrial Design and was accepted into the “Golden Keys National Honors Society” and lives in Bendigo.
Richard first started out doing stone sculptures and teaching stone carving. Now his focus is metal sculptures. Richard has taught himself hand held plasma cutting and welding, which makes each piece unique.
Currently Richard has his amazing flower balls displayed in the Farmers Arms Art Motel’s garden which are available for purchase at $275 each. Also in Richard’s collection, there are individual flowers and now introducing a bird collection.
